When i pull the oil dipstick out it is clean, well not all back and
smelly. is this right?engine was running for 4hrs on motor way the oil
dont seam to stick to the dipstick.this sounds silly but i have been
asked, to ask the group.

try having a look at the dipstick first thing in the morning before you have
had the car running. If you are parked on level ground then you should get a
true reading. If you can’t see any oil on the dipstick then, that means that
either you don’t have enough oil in the engine or the end of your dipstick
has fell off
