Of course it may be OK, but I noticed that I can see the insides
of the clutch through a slot on top of the housing. This is a 405DT,
and I think there would be something mounted here on a petrol
model? Should there be a filler/cover thing here?

The same on 106 1.4D.

I think its the same gearbox casing as the petrol engine and the timing
marks are often found on the flywheel of the petrol models, I could be wrong
!!
