Which engine in which model

Hi guys,
Just wondering abou this. My neighbour always gives me that **** how German
cars are the best, yada yada yada…Opel rules…Now, I was wondering if
there is a site or something that says which engines certain models use.
Also where are other parts made. I mean, I read somewhere that Opel doesn’t
use "Opels" engines in all models or something like that. Also, Peugeot 407
2.0 hdi has a Ford engine?

Thanks for the info

Connect MP3 player to radio

Hi – sorry if your sick of this topic by now, I know there are about a
million posts on the net by now, however:

I’m not really an electrician but I’d like to connect my mp3 player
directly into my original 406 Philips 2050 radio. I was thinking I
could just buy a pair of head phones and rip the actual speakers off
and then connect the wires straight into the left and right audio
channel pins (I realise I’d need to be able to switch between radio and
mp3 somehow but I’ll think about that later). Does anyone know how to
identify the left/right channels, and also, do you know whether this is
a completely mad idea that could never work!

Thanks in advance

406 HDi Climate control problem

During last summer the ac just did not work
Got it to the garage and they came up that the mech and fluid part is
ok
They said that the ac did not work due to a fault in the central
computer.
It needed to be replaced (cost eu 450) and then it would work again.
I think more people will experience the problem so a solution is
possible.
Can anybody tell me what to do, perhaps a replacement of a small
electronic part will do the trick.
Or is something wrong with the electrical hardware.
Can anybody help?
Regards Toon

REPLACE AERIAL ON 307

Hello,
Does anybody out there know how to remove the aerial on a 307 and
replace it with a smaller one?  What is involved?  Does the wiring on
the orginal aerial detach from it or does it run all the way to the
radio in the dash board?  I want to replace with a small neat aerial.
Hate the whip!
Dan.

206 SW versus 307 SW

Just out of curiosity,

does anyone have any thoughts on 206 SW versus 307 SW.

Parents ARE thinking of replacing their 206 and a SW variant would make
sense as they seem to use it as a light van rather often!  Is there much
more space in the 307?  I was always surprised what they managed to cram in
their existing 206, almost as much as I could get in my old 306.  How do
the load spaces compare?

Thanks,

Pete

cycle carrier for 406 estate

I have a cycle carrier for two bikes, it is the type that hooks over
the rear tailgate at the top and also under the rear bumper somewhere,
the straps are then tensioned. Looking at my car it seems that the top
part of the rear tailgate, above the glass, may be plastic. Will this
be strong enough to hook onto?
