Hi,

Does anyone know where I can get a USED Trip Computer for my Peugeot 406
(year 1998) ?

Can the Trip Computer be set to display in kilometres or are the LCD
segments fixed ?

Sorry if this is noddy stuff for you guys, but I don’t know if my car has a
problem or not.  When I use the aircon on my 306 for any length of time, I
notice water dripping from beneath the car neat the engine bulkhead.  I’m
not certain whether its engine coolant (tho’ the coolant level seems to
stay okay), or just waste water collected by the aircon.  I don’t want to
get ripped off by a garage, but don’t want my car to blow up on the
motoway either.  Any help appreciated.

            full service history (not Peugot)
            HD engine

OR

2000 406 – 117k on the clock – lease car
           full service history from Peugot Service Dealer
           HDi engine
           Wants £4100

Don’t know my bonnet from me wing mirror so will pay for an AA check
(any comments on this would be useful)!

so on this meagre info. does anyone have recommendations on :

price?
am I still looking at shelling out loads after the first 100k?
anything to look out for?
is HDi much preferrable over HD?

Hi, I haven’t had the car long, but its started pulling to the right
when I brake slowly. But sometimes it pulls to the left, and quite
agressively at times.
If I brake hard it always goes straight!
Most times its ok but every now and then it just doesn’t brake
straight.
I had a wheel alignment done, so its not that.
Could it be the ABS?
Any ideas?

Hi,

I have a Pugeout 1.9 TD (1998 R Plate), The blower for the heater/aircon has
just stopped working. Was working 100%, turned car off came back to car and
it was not working at all. Fuses seem OK.

With ignition turned on, when I move the fan control slider to the full
right position I can hear what sounds like a relay click, moving the slider
back a little makes it click again. Totally nothing from the fan though! Any
ideas?

Hi

I have developed a knocking noice coming from my rear wheels.  It is OK
(i.e. no noice) on a smooth road but on a bumpy road its quite bad.

A few months ago I had this on the front wheels and they replaced my
steering arm links.

Any ideas as to what I need to change on the rear?  Could it be the
balljoints maybe?

I’ve looked through the handbook several times, but can see no sign of
what this button does. From the graphic, I assume it has something to
do with the alarm/immob. Can anyone tell me about it ?
