Hi everyone,

For the past few months when ever I drive my car I get a knocking noise from
the nearside front.
More so when going over bumps and a loud ‘click or crack’ when turning sharp
left or pulling onto drives etc…

Any ideas what could cause this? Not much to go on, but I would like a few
ideas before I take it down to the Peugeot garage this week.

how do u change them im totally clueless

If one is bought from another car is it possible to reprogram it to your car
by following the instructions in the handbook under "first use" ?

Clicking the ignition on 2 clicks and aiming the key within 10cm of the
sensor, holding for 2 seconds etc…?

I ve been reading this group for a number of months and thought i would
make a sugestion.

how about using a standard subject line  along the lines of:

[306][DIESEL] Problem etc

It would make things easier for me dont know about anyone else

Couple of 405 questions…..

This is a Canadian model of the 405, they call it the 405S.
It is fully loaded model, air, power windows, cruise, power sunroof, rear
spoiler, etc.
It has a 1.9l 8 valve engine.

The Haynes manual says the engine type is stamped in the block, I can’t find
it, anyone know where it is ?

Dash has a gauge in the right hand bottom corner, says maxi and mini on it,
gauge does not seem to work, sits on mini all the time.  What is this gauge
for, and how does it work ?

The speedo gauge is making a ticking noise, and kind of bobs up and down
when driving, any ideas ?

I was wondering if anyone that has done this can tell me the effects…

Basicly i want to strip the rear seats,shelf, stereo/amp/sub, etc to make my
1.6 GTi lighter…

I`ve even gone on a diet and have lost 2 3/4 stone since crimbo ( still a
healthy 16 stone lol )… but what overall difference would it make other
than just noisey..?

Does it really make the car that much lighter..?

Where can i buy replacement door panel clips, (The White clips all around
the interior door panels)

 Is it best to goto a scrap yard or do car dealers sell them as standard.

Just been given a 406 S as a hire car for a couple of weeks and the
clock/temp/radio display is flashing both date and time (9 March 2000
and time is also wrong). Can’t figure out how to set it.

It’s got no manual and our transport people are not really any help.

Anyone able to tell me what buttons to press to set this up? Tried all
the obvious and obscure combinations I can think of.

hi there

a few days ago the alternator from my 1995 605 2L Turbo broke down.
so i had to buy a new one which cost me 620 CHF (400 USD).
my friend told me that this one was the only one that fits into the given
engine block.

i am wondering if there wouldn’t have been a cheaper one???

anyone know sonething about that??
