Strange light on the dash coming on (306 Diesel)

Hi I’ve noticed for a while now a light appearing on the dash  - it was so
fast at first I thought it was my eye lash catching my eye.

Anyway the light stayed on today for about 5 seconds – it looked like a tube
thermometer "I think" I’ve never seen this symbol before, anyway I have a
feeling its water temperature so what I am thinking of can I (if I can find
it) earth the temperature sender the car has a temp gauge on but I want to
prove this sender obviously these Peugeots must have two on them.
While I remember do these vehicles have a warning light for water in the
fuel?
The vehicle was reitered in 1993 (L) 1905 CC

Peugeot 405 estate gear change probs.

Hi all

I’ve got an ’89 405 GL 1.9 estate that has got an issue with part of the
gearbox. It seems to be mainly 3rd, when changing from 3rd to anything else
there is a clunk noise when you pull it out of 3rd. None of the other gears
have this problem.

Took it into a main dealer and he drove it and said the clutch was fine, but
didn’t check adjustment. He says he thinks that it will be the linkages from
the stick to the box…. What do you all think?

It had a lot of issues when I got it but once this is sorted and I have
changed the speedo drive unit hopefully everything else is cosmetic so I
don’t really want to get rid on the last problem but will if I have to.

Gunson Fault Finded for Citroen/Peugeot

Does anybody know whether the Gunson Fault Finder for Citroen/Peugeot
vehicles (available from Halfords for appox £20.00) is compatible with a
late year 2000 Peugeot 306 (1.6 petrol engine). If yes, where is the socket
that the fault finder should be plugged into located?

Thanks.

Peugeot 406 HDI 110 HP turbo problem

Hi,

I have a Peugeot 406 HDI 110 HP with 250NM, and i have a turbo problem!!!.
The car has been driving 100.000 KM.

My car has a tuning box connected, that gives the car about 130-140 HP and
300NM (the box does not changes the turbo boost pressure).

On the turbo’s cold side, here is a rubber hose that connects the turbo to
the intercooler, I have changes this hose twice.

Each time the hose rubber seamed to be broken or cracked. Probably because
of to higher load.

Has anyone had the same problem?

Can anyone recommend another hose type?, maybe a silicon hose?
