Has anyone had any experience of fitting a central locking kit to a 205? It
would be remarkabley easy if there were any rods left on the front doors and
any access points to the rods on the back doors. I am stumped as to how to
get it working. I’ve had some limited success by attaching to the stump of
the rod left at the bottom of the locks on the front two doors.

Hi there!

Has anyone got a good dipstick for a 205 (with a TU3S engine if that makes a
difference) – The "bung" part has broken off mine so it doesn’t seal the
pipe.

One of my driving lamps has lost most of its reflective material, and the
back has all but rusted away. The earth connection has also rusted away. I
have used some tin foil to place over the inside of the lamp, and have
remade the earth connection by connecting the earth wire to the wire that
holds the bulb in place. So far it works well. However, I am bit worried
in case the foil comes into contact with the electrical connections in
some way. I expect the worst that would happen would be that the light
would fail, or a fuse would blow. Could this setup cause a more serious
problem? I could use Ducktape to cover the connections, but I am not sure
if this would help.

What I find flaming annoying about this NG is that many of the subject lines
are non-specific when it comes to Peugeot models.

I don’t want to read queries about models outside my area of interest so I
generally ignore questions which aren’t prefixed 405.

I wonder how many other people do the same thing (be it for 206, 306, 504, 505
etc)?

I’ve just had the COM2000 unit replaced for a second time on my 307 Rapier
which I purchased in November 2001. This time it actually has made a
difference.
The indicators now behave the way that they should have from day one.

If you still have indicator problems, insist that the dealer replaces the
COM2000.
The latest units are a vast improvement.

The front-right indicator hasn’t been working for a couple weeks now
(alternating fast as if the bulb is blown)

However, the right-indicator bulb socket, supplys a voltage to the bulb
(checked with a multi-meter), it alternates just the same as the left
indicator socket (which works).
The bulb (when tested in the left socket) works, but not in the
right-indicator socket.

So, despite there being a charge from the connectors inside the right
socket, the bulb doesn’t light up!?

Any suggestions? as it’s baffled me completely.
