Mystery warning light on 309 dashboard

I have a Peugeot 309 diesel but no user’s manual so I hope someone can
help me out here.

For the past week, a small warning light has been coming on
intermittently. It is a small circular yellow light on the top left
side of the dashboard, just next to the battery and oil lights. The
icon is a circle with another dashed circle around it.

I thought tyre pressure, may be, since one of my tyres was low, but
the problem has not gone away. Any advice?

Thanks.

306 Windscreen Relay

I have a 1998 306 with rain sensitive wipers, which quite frankly are crap.
Can I change it back to the previous type of wiper style, simply by changing
a relay?

Any help would be appreciated

For Sale: 306 DT

Hi,

I am about to Part Exchange my car for a new one, however I think it might
go to a better home here.

Spec:

1997 Mark 1 306 Turbo (P Reg, First Date of registration 3/2/1997)
113,000 Miles (I have driven the last 98,000 of them, mostly motorway miles)
Some service history
Diablo Red
All tyres with 3mm + tread
Clean inside, no rips in seats etc.

MOT is only until 26th of January

Dint in plastic front lower bumper (under fog light, but no damage to light)

Scrape/Dint over drivers side rear arch, about 1cm deep and about a foot
long. Drivers side bonnet hinge needs replacing.

I’m not sure how much its worth with the Dents/Short MOT/Miles, how does
£1,200 sound, or make me a sensible offer!

Located in London

Cheers

306 speaker

Hi there,

I removed the grills for my door speakers on my 306 tonight, because i
wanted to check the actual size before i purchased new ones.

Upon removing the grill, I could see the speaker, and thought that the cone
looked a bit weird on my driver side.  Checked the passenger side and it was
the same, sort o wierd looking, not quite sure how to describe it.

Anyway, upon listening to my radio, i noticed that my driver side door
speaker wasn’t working at all, could this be the speaker, or wiring, and
would it be wirig connections to the speaker, head unit, or possibly even
the wire is dodgy itself???

I am not quite sure where to check first, am am not that bothered about the
speaker as I am changing my audio set up pretty soon anyway.

If I need to check the HU connections, how do I remove the factory fitted
HU? – do i need to buy the special keys, or can i make some kinda tool up
myself?

Cheers for any help

Karl

405 dash lights & flasher unit

Anybody know how difficult it is to replace dash bulbs on a 405. Can the
clocks be pulled forward without removing the whole dash?

also, I’ve got a horrible intermittant buzzing noise coming from below or
behind the dash which sounds like the flasher unit going mental (although it
does work normally).  Where is it located?

306 XSi Clutch (again)

Hi,

I posted a while back on the subject of the clutch on the 306 that I
had just bought.

Although the garage told me that they had fitted a new clutch it had
very little free movement and started to bite soon after the pedal
came off the floor. After about three  weeks or so of use it became
worse and gear change became difficult. Clearly the clutch was barely
disengaging. I had booked it into the garage for rectification but
then noticed that the pedal was only coming half way up i.e. a rest
position lower than the brake pedal. I lifted it, only gently, by hand
and it sprang up to the same level as the brake pedal.  Thereafter all
was well, full travel of the pedal, fully satisfactory operation and
gearchange.

I still took it into the garage for a check, they were a bit puzzled
but seemed to think that the cable had got snagged or kinked on
installation and that the auto adjust had not been working properly
until the pedal got lifted into place.

I remain a bit puzzled about the whole affair but happy that all seems
to work OK.

405 – climate control – help!

Hope someone can help.  My ’94 405′s heater temperature range all happens
in the last part of the temperature slide’s travel – at the extreme rhs
(hot) it’s hot, but move it slightly left and the heat drops off rapidly,
and from within 10mm of the right hand side to the left of the slide, it’s
all cold.

Anyone know what I have to do to fix this?
TIA

Re-spray time

Any ideas? I want to blow over my 205, maybe with the same colour, or maybe
with a metallic version of the same colour. Obviously I’m gonna need to prep
it, fill the dents and scratches n stuff, but how long for the actual
spraying? And how much is enough paint?! I’m just planning.

TIA
